Corporate Sponsorships for the Fruit Break Campaign
Welcome to Ekaya Institute's "Take A Fruit Break" campaign. Kids today are inundated with junk food advertising on TV more so than any generation in history. And for the first time in the history of the United States of America the current generation of children will not live longer than their parents. The commercials for junk foods are very appealing to kids, using animation and special effects, and the few commercials for highly nutritious foods are more often presented in a boring and bland style. Very often junk foods use the appeal, beauty and energy of fruit in their commercials with much greater effect than fruit advertisements! The aim of the "Take a Fruit Break" campaign is to get kids to eat more fruit, to make eating fruit just as "cool" as junk food, and to give fruit an even chance on an unlevel playing field.
The "Take A Fruit Break" Campaign is being funded in part by corporations who benefit by receiving a mention within the commercials thereby receiving brand recognition as well as credit for being a company that cares about kids and health and is part of the positive forces influencing our world's future. We will target your desired demographic as closely as possible. Corporations may also choose the region in which the commercials will be seen, by specifying zip codes or country areas. They may also choose specific cable stations and in some cases even exact programs to appear on. Corporations may choose to donate any amount starting from $2000. 75% of the amount donated to the "Take A Fruit Break" Campaign will go to purchase the actual air time. 25% of the donated amount will go to the production of the spot. 30% of the donation is tax deductible as Ekaya Institute is a 501(c)3 Private Charitable Foundation (nonprofit organization) recognized by the IRS. Spots will run no later than one month from the receipt of the donation.
Corporations Receive a custom 30-second "Take a Fruit Break" commercial aimed at their target demographic and/or the children of this demographic. They receive a 10 second segment at the end of the 30-second spot, saying "This Fruit Break Was Brought to you By...", with the corporate logo and website address also featured onscreen. We will recommend a schedule based on the amount of the donation. Additional exposure will be included via press releases, on our website, and in PR and advertising such as in articles about "Fruit Break" to be published in other major publications, TV and radio interviews, PSA spots (Public Service Announcements on TV), PSA banners, PSA radio spots, bill-board advertising, infomercials, and in advertising within email newsletters of several online websites in the genres of health, parenting, education and kids.
